New FREE Music Blogspot

Friends and Family!

I'm writing to let you know my sister Anne Corey has set up a new blogsite to allow access to her music. YES, FREE MUSIC PEOPLE!!! My sister is very talented and has some other projects in the works as we speak. I'm excited to see where her talents will take her but I need your help! In order to get her music out upon reading this blog will you please send her blogspot address to your fellow bloggers. She has an audio clip of the music and the sheet music is there to download FREE on the blogsite. This particular song follows the LDS Youth Theme for 2009 by "being an example of the believers". Her music is inspirational. She will be updating and adding music to this blog as time passes. I've been privileged to have majority of her work from the past 10 years plus and I'm so excited that she's ready to share this with everyone!!

The blogspot address is http://annemariesmusiccorner.blogspot.com/
Her contact information is anne_corey@hotmail.com

(She's probably going to kill me for posting her picture )
She would love your comments!
Thank you so much!

Bye Bye Waffle Maker

Sundays are kind of hectic in the Murdock household because of meetings galore. My dear sweet husband this morning fixed breakfast for all of us...waffles, cheesy eggs(his specialty) and bacon...just delightful. I think he's always worried about me eating because sometimes I forget when I get busy even though I LOVE food. Found it kind of funny that we had this feast in front of us and Maryn was complaining that all she wanted this morning was cereal. The breakfast was wonderful and I hurried and went to my meeting and left my poor husband for a substantial amount of time to get himself ready and two little girls. When I came home he came up to me and started the conversation with I cleaned the waffle maker and had it propped up on the table to drip dry and when I went upstairs I heard this huge crash. He told me he kind of broke my waffle iron. I looked at it and said so it is broken shaking my head in agreement. Technically I could still use it but there are some exposed wires. I didn't say much but inside I was shouting for joy...WOOHOO I GET A NEW WAFFLE IRON!!! I've been wanting one for a while but couldn't justify buying a new one when the old one worked just fine. It has served us well for the past 7 years but now it's time to move on. Thank you honey for allowing me to get a new kitchen appliance and you didn't even know that I wanted it!

Boise or Bust

Last weekend the girls and I had a chance to drive to Boise, Idaho to visit family. Yes I ventured to take the girls by myself on a 6 hour drive and they did fabulous. Right before we were about to leave I hooked up the dvd player only to find that it wasn't working. OH JOY! Thank goodness for me Maryn is a talker and she also packed her dollies in a backpack but I accidentally put those in the trunk of the car. About 30 minutes into the drive Maryn asked are we in Idaho yet...Nope. Are you still in Utah...Yep. How long until we get to Boise...5 1/2 hours. Are we still in Utah then...Yep. When will we be in Idaho...tell ya what Maryn right when we cross the border into Idaho I'll let you know. Does that sound like a plan? Sure Mom! Five minutes later...are we in Idaho yet? This conversation when on for about an hour until I could honestly tell her we were on the Idaho side.
Here are my travel buddies at the rest stop.

We had to stop at the rest stop just outside twin falls to feed Macey and Maryn was getting pretty bored so she got up in the front seat. It was a beautiful day with the sun shining so Maryn rolled down the window. Then she stuck her head out and told me that she was going to Rrrrr. I asked her what that was and then all of a sudden my 4 year old was howling and barking at everyone passing by. People were looking around as they came out of the rest stop building probably wondering who's dog was uncontrollably barking. I was laughing so hard I think I started to cry because I couldn't breathe. Back on the road again when we were just coming into Boise I had that feeling like I was arriving home so I had to fight back those feelings. You forget how much you miss a place when you've been away from it for a while.

Finally we made it to Uncle Marc and Aunt Jahaza's house. From the rest of the time forward I don't think I saw Maryn very much because she was playing with her cousins the whole time. Sunday night we made heart cookies and had the kids decorate them. I was busy with Macey so failed to get pictures. I also failed to mention that Macey had a blow out in church. I think she plans for these things. I brought her to the changing room and there was stinky everywhere. I had to wrap her up naked in a blanket that was halved because that got stinky on it too. She was sure happy though. She thinks if she's naked then she gets a bath.

Jahaza is my sister in law and also my cousin but I'll save that story for another day but she feels like a sister to me.

The next morning we went to go see Great Grandma and Grandpa Wickard. Macey's middle name is after my Grandma so it was very special to have her hold her for the first time. Immediately Macey lit up when she saw Grandma...it's almost like they shared a connection. Maryn got spoiled as always by Grandma with food and stuffed animals.
We also got the chance to see some friend's for our old Boise Ward. We wish we could have seen everyone but we didn't have enough time. Beth is my long lost sister and it's scary sometimes that we think the same things and I miss her cheesecakes dearly and her too :) She's an amazing Mom and has 5 wonderful kids. We're almost the same age so I need to get on the ball here. Kirk hogged the baby so I didn't even get a picture of her. Maryn calls her Aunt Beth.

Monday morning we woke up and was having anxiety about driving home because a snowstorm was coming through Utah. We stopped by Grandma's one more time to say goodbye and we were on our way. We pretty much had beautiful weather until we hit Tremonton but we made it home in one piece. Even enough time to make it home to cook dinner for Matt. He was so happy to have us home.

Always check your children's homework!!

I stole this from my friend's blog and I'm still laughing about this. Hope this brightens up everyone's day!

(Here's the reply the teacher received the following day)
Dear Mrs. Jones,

I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture doesn't show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Smith
