At the beginning of last year I made a list of things that I would like to see get done. I didn't share them with you on purpose just for the fact if I didn't finish them then I wouldn't feel so bad. I did however keep this little paper with everything on in plain view and I was constantly reminded of the goals I was keeping. I'll give you a run down on what was successful for me last year. I had a lot of projects that are being rolled over into this year but I was happy with what I was able to accomplish on them.
Work on Food Storage
This is an ongoing one them we're continually building on. We have a new system that if I don't meet my budget for groceries the rest goes to food storage. Which lately has been really hard to exceed my budget(not that I'm trying) since we're eating less so it works out great for our food storage. I was happy with what I was able to get during the case lot sales.
Finish Mason's Quilt
I was happy to get this project done and over with. All my kids get a cute little Trip Around the World Blanket. I'm glad I could give them something from me.
Finish Macey and Maryn's first year scrapbooks
I am 95% done with Maryn's and actually printed off the first of the digital pages I complete years ago. I've just had a mental block to get them printed and finally getting the motivation to finish them. Now Macey's is about 10% completed. We won't even talk about Mason's as of yet. Like I said rolling over
Finish and print lullaby books
I finished and printed Macey and Mason's. Maryn's book is about a third of the way done. These have been such a treasure for the kids to look through. What kid doesn't like looking at pictures of themselves.
Paint the nursery
If it wasn't for my husband this wouldn't have been able to be crossed off at all. I have one little spot to touch up and the decorations and it's finished!
Window coverings for 3 rooms
I was able to get curtains for the family room and a rod for the kitchen but haven't found what I want for the kitchen yet. Guess I might have to get the sewing machine out and get something made.
Stay under Budget and pay off 2 loans
This has been a massive undertaking which involved both my husband and I. We were able to pay off a student loan and our second mortgage last year which is amazing. Some people take their whole lives to do this and we did this in a relatively short amount of time.
So here is to a new set of goals to set my sights on. We have a family goal list and one of them is to try to make a trip to Washington. It might be by myself but I need to go. Haven't been home for almost 6 years. It's a long time to be away. It's almost like the longer I'm away the harder it's getting to go back. Hard to explain.
Here's a few pics over the last few months to Enjoy!
The digital pages are from the zoo crew from Ettes
and will be wall hangings for buddies room. So
excited for the prints to come in next week. Just
love buddies expression in the first pic.
